Re: Need gmc pics
I don't get it, someone else smacks your truck and you have to fix it? With parts you don't want to use??? Oh hells no! He needs to pony up for the parts to fix it back the way it was.

Re: Need gmc pics
He hooked me up with an engine. He has a bunch of kids and I feel bad for him. I could have been a dick about it, but I think that would have resulted in even less parts.
Besides, I have never even seen a 67-72 gmc around here. I like how the 67 hood looks with the gmc grill. Tims truck is awesome. If I want switch back, I will just throw on a chevy grill. I didnt think the gmc rad suport would work with chevy stuff, but aparently it does. |

Re: Need gmc pics
GMC has a better looking front end for sure (well --- subject to speculation, i know)
------ as far as Chevy vs. GMC's go -- can anyone really think of a worse looking grill than the 69-70 Chevy grille? I know -- i have one of each (GMC and Chev.) but that aside --- if the dude has liability insuralnce, this probably wouldn't even raise his rates-, unless he is an SR-22 or something -- just get him to call it in if you can - it doesn't have to be a big deal. Just let the insurance company handle it and never bring it up again --- that way the friendship won't be spoiled )

Re: Need gmc pics
I've always loved quad headlights. I find that I think the GMC front looks better on lifted trucks, and the Chevy Fronts on the lowered ones... but then again I guess I'm odd like that....
and hey, I have two Chevy trucks with '70 grilles, ain't nothing wrong with them... The only thing that bugs me about the '69-'72s is the tall leading edge of the hood. The trucks with the '67-'68 hood swap look slick. Last edited by Shaffer4; 05-10-2008 at 11:21 AM. |
