Installed door panels and carpet today!!
Installed the carpet, "Rod Door" door panels, and black vinyl on the firewall above the carpet. The door panels are not covered yet, they will be covered with vinyl about the same color as the carpet.
The rest of the interior will be installed next week. Last edited by fastom; 05-12-2008 at 04:26 AM. |

Re: Installed door panels and carpet today!!
Rod Doors makes the panels, carpet is from Stock Interiors. I also ordered the headliner and A-pillar covers from Rod Doors, very nice stuff.

I'll take pictures of the covers when they get installed. I don't have them, they are at the interior shop.

Got some more pictures. The headliner was covered, A-Pillar covers were covered, speaker pods covered, and most of the center console is finished.

Re: Installed door panels and carpet today!!
wow that looks really good!! two quick questions. is your headliner from the same place as the door panes and if so does it fill the whole roof like that or did you have that custom made?

Re: Installed door panels and carpet today!!
The headliner and A-Pillar covers are from Rod Doors, same as the door panels. The headliner is the same size as the stock liner, fits in the stock location.
All the parts from Rod Doors is top notch, I'm very happy with them. The picture of the truck roof with the vinyl, thats all custom work done by the upholstery shop. |

Re: Installed door panels and carpet today!!
Excuse my noobness, but is this simply black vinyl covering up there or is there something else supporting it. Do you have any other pictures? I am doing a blue truck with black dash pad and have been trying to decide whether to paint that part or cover it with black vinyl. Thanks for any info.

Re: Installed door panels and carpet today!!
The dash is covered in black vinyl. The shifter is a Lokar unit for the 700R4. The seats are buckets, C5 Corvette from Stylin' Concepts, they are leather in the same color saddle.
Thank you for all the great comments, the truck has been lots of work. I'm pleased it has come out as nice as it has and other people think so as well. Last edited by fastom; 05-17-2008 at 12:29 AM. |
