Arm Swap
Can you swap the rear trailing arms from one side to the other,so that the e-brake would run along the insise of the trailing arm ....Has anyone done this or seen it done???

its been a while since I looked at those old trailing arms.....but arent the E brake brackets riveted to the arms?

Yes they are rivits are a pain in the a$$...I saw a 66 at the body shop i was at that had them inside the arms but the guy had no clue cause the truck was built for him ..

I never really thought about it, but the arms are straight.... they probably would swap side for side. my thoughts were that it would be less work to cut the rivets, & just swap the brackets/bolt them back on. crazyL

Ya it is alot of work but i have to pull the arms back off to replace the bushings so no big deal ....I guess i would have to figure out the cable routeing or maybe run a lokar e-brake set up .....Im gonna give it a shot saturday i think it would be clean if it would all work out....
