rear view mirror

does the rear view mirror for a 69 chev mount on the ceiling or window?

if it was so optioned, it would go on the ceiling.. 72 was the first year for the glue on kind.

Only if, like Andy said, it was optioned with it. I don't believe there's even "pilot dimples" to use as a guide.

so on my ceiling it only has one screw hole and it had a window mounted mirror, and its a 69. so would it not have come with a rear veiw mirror out of the factory?

My '69 has a mount with 3 screws in it. It doesn't have the fancy cover like the above pic

Maybe it has come off over the years, but I don't recall seeing one without a cover.
