Question Help - Brakes

Help me guys! I just picked up new brake shoes (drum) for the front of my 68 chevy lwb. Now I remember that the "pad" on one shoe is longer than the other but I don't remember which one goes toward the front. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, but "pretty sure" might get me killed. It seems to me like the long one should go to the front since thats where most of the "pressure" would be while braking.

Primary shoe (short) in forward position, at least thats the way for a 72. I checked the shop manual and confirmed that.

The longer shoes goes toward the rear. It is the primary braking shoe.
