Shorty headers
After lowering my 70 C-10 4" & 6", I'm concerned about the headers hitting on the street.
Who makes "shorty" headers for these years? I don't care of they're chromed or not, The chrome usually Burns dark anyway. Just good quality Shorties. RON |

ll of these trucks I have seen using shorty headers are using block huggers or 88up truck that I have spoken with. Tons of manufacturers of both styles.

These are Sanderson block hugger headers........a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

With the motor in the setback position like slammed '67 (that's what I would do, too!) you should be able to use 67-72 4x4 headers. The Heddmans exit above the bottom of the frame rail. If you have a coil spring truck, you can route the exhaust through the crossmember keeping all of it above the bottom of the frame. I've got the set that came from my Jimmy if you want measurements, email me.

Again Thanks guys,
I believe, my engine is set back, I'll check to be sure, and I had the exhaust run through the crossmember when I had the exhaust done the last time, 10 or so years ago. I'll do this once i get moved and set back up, But wanted to be aware of my options. Slammed, where did you get the "Sandersons"? RON |

How can i tell if my trucks engine is "set-back"? It originally came with a 350, however i think that it has been taken out and rebuilt.
