Re: Rubber trailing arm bushings
I tried for a little while with a propane torch and took them to a friends shop with an oxyacetylene torch and they were out in 3 minutes

You can press them out, press new ones in!

Re: Rubber trailing arm bushings
You're probably better off burning them out, if you try and press them out (like I did) you will probably bend the end of the trailing arm in (like I did), then I ended up burning them out, but the smoke that burning rubber makes is pretty nasty, fyi.

Re: Rubber trailing arm bushings
Do it over a trash can, and use a plumbers torch and a hammer. See if this Helps

Re: Rubber trailing arm bushings
for anyone interested i used a little propane torch and heated up the metal sleeve till the rubber caught on fire and then pushed the sleeve out with an old bolt. When the rubber cooled i used a pair of pliers to pull it ot. Worked great
