Wiring harness question..
I was cleaning and re-wrapping these wires and I broke both glass fuses. They were very brittle and I suspect they were the originals. There are no distinguishing marks on them....does anyone know what size fuse this 1972 harness would take?
Thanks Heres what they look lik now............ |

Re: Wiring harness question..
Those are the fuses for ammeter I think. Put new ones in and your gauge will work. I think they are 5a.

Re: Wiring harness question..
Spray some WD40 in both ends of the connector and carefully get the metal fuse tips out. With a magnifying glass you will be able to read the amp size. I just went through this drill and I cannot remember what amp they are, but I purchased them at Advance Auto.

Re: Wiring harness question..
The fuses for the ammeter, located on either side of the radiator are 4 amps. I use a snap ring removal tool to remove the metal ends out of the holders.

Re: Wiring harness question..
My origonals were 4 Amp, but a 5 works just fine. I've got 2 5amps in my right now.
