LS motor in 4WD frame! Who has done it?

I am now on my third set of motor plates and am still not having any luck with the install. The motor is a 6.0L LQ9 truck motor and the vehicle is a 72 Chevy K-10 truck. The last set were S&P plates and after numerous tries, and calls to Mark who insisted that they fit, the plates were not even close!!! I called and spoke with Larry and Mark at length and they both finally agreed that the plates must not fit with 4WD frames. I sent numerous pictures of the frame and the issue and we were still not able to come to a favorable conclusion.

I am now sending the plates back and we are back at square 1... Where now?

I can't remember his name but there's a guy with a really nice yellow blazer on the blazer forum who has a supercharged 6.0 in his blazer. Post something there.

Re: LS motor in 4WD frame! Who has done it?

I just had the guys at pacific fabrication put a 6.0 in my 72 4x4 Burb and they mocked up a crossmember that they are going to sell soon, they are the only guys I could find that have done 4x swaps in 67-72 4x (locally)
