How do I fix this?
I was test fitting the front shocks and noticed that the hole on the frame is all messed up. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Preferrably without messing up the powdercaot finish. Thanks for any help you folks can provide. MisterE

Mine was the same and I just welded it. Not much you can do without messing up the powdercoating except when you put the shock mount back on, tighten the ever loving crap out of it.......I would think it will be fine.

Mine was the same way. I had to weld it up...

Weld it. I've found Rustoleum Industrial Enamel in a can at Home Depot matches powder coating real nice.Some of my parts are powdercoated and some are painted,you can't really tell the difference.

I'd either weld a stout steel washer to the both sides and touchup the P-Coat with some "Chassis Black" in a rattle can. Or I'd get two big ole honkin' S.S. Fender washers and use them on both sides of the stud and torque the livin' bejezzus out of them nuts (maybe even use Nylocks for additional insurance).

I did a little research and founf this front upper shock mount rienforcement lit from CPP. The folks from CPP said to really tighten the the stud to the frame and bolt on this rienforcement kit. I hope it works. Are any of you all running one of these kits? How well does it work? Thanks for the help. MisterE
