New guy here from South Texas
Hello, let me introduce myself. I live in South Texas where the humidity is 150% and hot. Not too bad in the winter though and we get to drive our cars year round. My hobbies include spending most of my time with my family, fishing (flounder gigging), working on old cars, and spending time in the outdoors. I have been married to my jr. high sweetheart for 16 years now. We graduated in '87. My wife is a dental hygienist and we have two kids. Our daughter is 9 and enjoys dance and softball. Our son is 6 and loves to swim. He competes in the local aquatic club. It is not officially mine, but my dad has a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner convertible. He does not do a whole lot with it, so I am the one who gets to enjoy it. Please forgive me if I start bleeding Mopar now and then. I just purchased this '67 Chevy truck, so I will see what I can do with it. Hopefully, someday it will be on the road again. I don't have any small pics of the truck yet, but here is one of the Road Runner. Thanks - 67hooptie

Re: New guy here from South Texas
We'll have to get together one Saturday and make the drive to the Kemah cruise. Another good cruise in our area is the www.niftee50ees.com in Tomball. They usually have several hundred cars every saturday night. I went to it last year and there were over 450 cars there. Thanks - 69rrvert

Re: New guy here from South Texas
That RoadRunner is awesome. With a little elbow grease and work, your 67 should be able to be cool too. Good luck, and welcome, from Indiana. Shhh! Don't tell anybody, but my daily driver is a Dodge.

Thanks for the welcome. If you only knew what I know about Bastrop Bayou, you would go somewhere else to play. I think it's been cleaned up now, but a few years ago one of the RV parks on the bayou was caught dumping their raw sewage into it. A good spot down here is the San Bernard river. Thanks - Hooptie

Picks of the truck are in this thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=296323 . It's posted in the projects forum. The Road Runner is a lot of fun, but I have not had a lot of time to drive it this year. I have only made one car show this year and I have yet to make the first cruise. My six year old son is into swimming and it seems like there is a swim meet every Saturday morning that starts a 07:00 and swim practice 4 days a week, but it is worth it. Family first, toys later. We had one last weekend an hour away. We left the house at 05:30 in the morning. They should be coming to an end this month. Thanks - Hooptie
