What combination bench seat is this?
This is the bench seat from the 67 donor that I am thinking about using but it needs a complete rebuild. Anyone know where I can find the cushions and cover for it. I check a couple of site and it said that they made 4 types. 1 foam bottom spring back w/ thin pad. 2 foam bottom and back. 3 spring bottom w/ thin pad and foam back. 4 spring bottom and back with thin pad on both. I am thinking that I have number 1 but I am not sure. Anyone?

I'd say it is the number 4. The foam bottom seat in my one of my '69 C10 's seems thicker that, but I haven't seen it apart. I'm not sure though. Mybe a of the experts will chime in soon!

Re: What combination bench seat is this?
Wow! That's some messed up seat. I would get rid of that sucker and see if you can locate something nicer in a junkyard. Maybe out of a mid 80's truck or so.
That back rest is new to me... I don't believe I've ever seen any of the old trucks with the coiled springs in the back. All the ones I ever seen have the wires with the foam pad. The bottom looks like the early style with the thin foam. But it looks different then mine... Last edited by 68gmsee; 06-20-2008 at 10:28 PM. |
