Moonlight Cruise..Salina, KS 67401

well i thought id post on here to see what yours guys opinions were... well we have a car show at one of the parks here prolly twice a year on the weekends and on that friday they have a cruise called the moonlight cruise where the cars from the show cruise... i thought it was neat being a teenager and seeing all the older people (sorry that was not ment to be offensive) and so there was about 75 or so classic cars that cruised with us around salina, ks.. we had the police dpt. even help out they blocked the intersections to let us threw so we wouldnt get split up.. it was bad a$$...i didnt have my camera on me so i snapped a few on my phone ill try to upload those asap!! but yeah tomorrow is the car show and im thinkin about entering my 72 chevy c10 in the highschool division..i will be a senior this year

Re: Moonlight Cruise..Salina, KS 67401

well i work from 8-noon on saturdays (today) and so i got off work took my eclipse home...grabbed my 72 and went over to the show i went to the entering booth they said to go over to the other one so i drove down there she was like i dont know if its too late because i showed up around 1230...and shes like ill let you park right here and u can go find out....i go ask some people and they said it was too late....im like gosh darn it i thought it would be cool to do the car show and enter the highschool class..this would be my second show the other one was in my towns mall... i do have some rust issues like cab corners..rockers.. but hell overall i didnt care i think it looks decent...but yeah my camera had dead batteries so we drove past my cousin and he snapped some of the cars he said he almost got all of them...so whenever he puts them on facebook ill steal them from him and put them on here....within a week or two im gonna order me some body panels and a buddy of mine are gonna slap them in... but yeah made me kinda mad when they said it was too late i think im in the local newspaper too so ill snap a pic of that when the paper comes out with us in it

Re: Moonlight Cruise..Salina, KS 67401

I have relation that lives in the Salina area, however I had other requirements pulling on me this weekend. However you know pardner--We; the truck nuts at the "Genuine Chevy GMC Truck Club of KC" happen to have an "ALL Truck show" at the end of the year (every year). We want truck owners to come see us and spend time with us for the 3 day weekend. There is a "Cruise-In" at the park where we have the show on Friday night (Open to all kinds of automobiles) then on Saturday the Truck show starts--with the judging on the side. Sunday is the awards part with some forms of money gouging on our part---Making money by auctioning off items. We are going to help out a family where the father was electrocuted working highlines in a storm ---earlier this year.

I want to invite you to drag out the truck and all of your friends and join us in the Riverside Park (just down the street from Classic Parts ---( Old Chevy duty ) on the FIRST weekend of September. Bring that camera and wear it out. You know the gas is high, but hell we can't take the money with us.

Re: Moonlight Cruise..Salina, KS 67401

Just to add to what piecesparts posted above.... check out the following board link for more info on what board members will be attending. We are working with is2blu on being able to obtain a club area for all 67-72chevytrucks.com participants. As being a past Midwest All Truck Nat's attendee, I will tell you this is a great show! Last year they had 150+ participants, and it was a great time. I hope to see more board members out there this year!

Re: Moonlight Cruise..Salina, KS 67401

You can park next to me and we'll be apart of the "To Be Continued.... project club!"

I have several rust spots on my truck, but I figure that you have to start somewhere, and at least its running and still drivin'!

Hope you can make it, and I hope I can keep track of everything to keep you posted on the show. In case it slips my mind, keep posted in the Midwest events part of the board.

Re: Moonlight Cruise..Salina, KS 67401

If you were to not go anywhere, because the truck is rough, then why the hell do you own a truck? We welcome everyone and everything to the show. The rust and dents show that you drive it and ENJOY it. If it is a trailer queen, we welcome that too. We recognize the work in each and every thing that is out there. My paint shines on my truck BUT, the truck does not see a trailer UNLESS there is no other way to get it back to the shop. The paint shines, because I managed to get it painted when I had the money to do so.
