70 C10 Timing Tab

I just bought a 1970 C10 Stepside with an inline 6 250ci engine. I am in the process of rebuilding the carb and want to set the timing. I have a picture of the timing tab - does anyone know where TDC would be on this tab?

Re: 70 C10 Timing Tab

Welcome to the site...my guess would be where the O is...I think the A is for advanced, but I am not 100% sure.

Re: 70 C10 Timing Tab

Thanks. That was my guess too, but when I set the timing (prior to taking the carb off) and used that as TDC it didn't seem to run as well as when it was further towards the "A". (The book I have says that the timing should be set right on TDC)

Re: 70 C10 Timing Tab

Most motors run better between 4* & 8* advanced....mine likes 12*!
