serpentine setup question

i was wondering from what late model motors i could pull a serpentine setup to put on an older small block in my truck. will any small block setup work except for the LS blocks? not real sure about what will fit. what have yall put on your trucks if you have serpentine. i cant afford any aftermarket setups so im just looking at factory stuff.

Re: serpentine setup question

I think on sb you can use years 88-95. I got one from a 90 chevy truck but never used it. Also.. You have to have the assesory holes in your heads to use the serpentine system..

Re: serpentine setup question

I grabbed a serpentine system out of a 1993 chevy full size truck and it fit like a glove. You need to make sure you get all the accessories with it though (alt, powersteering pump, etc). It really tucks all the accessories up tight to the engine and makes it a lot easier to intall headers. Good luck.

How about the water pump? Do you get one from the same year truck? Its a reverse rotation pump right?

Re: serpentine setup question

I know you don't want aftermarket but you can get a simple billet system on evil bay for about $85. I used one and it works good. But if you have more accessories I guess the stock system would be better.
