Re: check out this '77

sad part is that six wouldn't pull crap and still wouldn't do that great on fuel, but you could drop it and add some wheels like on yours and be set. i like that buckskin, had an 85 gmc 4x4 shorty that color and it shined up like a new one, still miss it.

That sure is a clean one. Straight 6 with a/c makes it odd, but still nice.

That truck is super clean, my Dad had a 77 Custom Deluxe he bought new Nov 76. I wish we still had it.

Somethings in the pics look odd to me though, the brake pedel is the small one usually foung in trucks with a manual trans, the side trim is typical of the Scottsdale and Silverado pkgs, and the white bumper with the trim??.

A/C and manual brakes ? Odd. Really good lookin truck though. Interior is nice too.

The only thing I don't like is that they painted the the engine bay flat black.

Re: check out this '77

do you guys think that it is as original as it is being indicated?? i have seen it posted before & i am really liking it. how could someone tell if it has been redone? it appears to be a very original & straight truck . i am wondering though from the responses on here if something might be off. i kinda like the 6 cy. idea though. i would do something very similar to what "n2billet" did. i am close by to it, i just might take a look at it.

thanks!!

I would bet the truck did not come with those wheels. More likely like the spare in the bed I would think. MO

That's what I thought too. The rings are the late 80's style, and the center caps are the later style as well. I don't think rally wheels were even offered until 75 or 76.

Re: check out this '77

This truck again eh....isn't this about the 4th or 5th time it's been listed? f.monroe is right, bidding has got up to around $8900 and reserve still not met. Even though the guy told me the reserve is "under $9000" when I e-mailed him. Must be $8999

Re: check out this '77

He just keeps greasing the pockets of Flea-Bay shareholders. You would think that by the second time he'd either quit trying, or lower the reserve a little. If I had a spare $10k lying around, I'd just buy it so we don't have to see it listed again. That'd make a great fixture for my garage.
