Re: Tri-Pro's "Project GPW"
We only did the LH and the gap is perfect all the way around...should be around to the RH tomorrow. After fitting the door and welding everthing around it he drilled two small pin holes through the hinges so there will be no doubt as to where they go after paint; something I never thought of.

Re: Tri-Pro's "Project GPW"
So you welded the rocker in solid. I was thinking of doing that.. Any side affect of that>?

Hey, nice build. I've got those same headers. What mounts did you buy? Thanks, ....Jerry

Re: Tri-Pro's "Project GPW"
One problem with fully welded rockers is removal later for replacement. It's kinda hard to get the front separated especially, ask me how I know.

Re: Tri-Pro's "Project GPW"
This one really isn't a daily driver and will be stored indoors; but I can see it being an issue on a driver....especially in the northeast

Re: Tri-Pro's "Project GPW"
Got some more welding done today and started patching up holes in the firewall
Also got the new tank in from Doc's Kustom Tank http://www.docskustom.com. HUGE THANKS to Doc for all his help. I would HIGHLY recommend Doc to anyone dong a build. This is a between the rails tank with an in tank Walboro pump that will be fed through an Aeromotive regulator. Hope to get it mounted tomorrow and start measuring out some fuel lines. Re: Tri-Pro's "Project GPW"
Keep fillin'
BTW, you have a broken bolt to mount the cowl down on the D/S, now would be a good time to fix it(before paint)

Happiness is....: finding out your 40 year old door is actually rust free
no more holes in the top of the dash: just two holes in the firewall |
