Re: Just paid my Registration, just curious what do you pay ??

$76 for the 1/2 T.
$135 for the 3/4 T.

Insurance is about 1200/year for all 3 vehicles; high limit liability and comprehensive only. No collision.

I.M. test = $60.00 every 2 years.
Registration = $120.00 every 2 years.
Insurance = $125.00 each month Full Coverage Single No Kids

And if I were a disabled vet of more than 35% disability or a senior citizen, my registration fees would be $1.00 intead of $120.00

$55.00 tags
$220.00 insurance -15% multi vehicle discount.
No inspection unless I drive it back to Tx.I run Tx plates on everything since I can avoid ad valoreum tax and I have a residence in Tx to use.

Re: Just paid my Registration, just curious what do you pay ??

My registration was $35, antique plates were $10, and insurance is $76 a year (Classic car insurance with Grundy). I never have to pay registration or license fees again, and there is no personal property tax on classic cars.

Re: Just paid my Registration, just curious what do you pay ??

I have antique tags on my 69, and pay 23 cents a year for my registation, and about $300 for insurance with a 7500.00 replacement value. The only restriction from the DMV on driving my truck is that you are not suppossed to daily drive it, but they do not check around here. I do not have any restrictions on driving my truck through my insurance.

Wow....you definately are in the lead for the other end of the scale !!

I have a question for you Rod86.....is it true that to import a 'classic' car into Austraila, it must be at least 30 yrs old ??

My buddy has a Caddy Lowrider that someone down-under is interested in, just curious if this was true...

Re: Just paid my Registration, just curious what do you pay ??

$171.40 for the Jeep.

That included vet plates and transfer of ownership, so no idea what it's going to cost me next year. No idea on the wife's Neon either because there's no way it will pass I.M. inspection. So it's getting sold for parts or scrap.

Re: Just paid my Registration, just curious what do you pay ??

$147 per month. Yes per month. I guess there's not many people from British Columbia on here. My gf pays about $240 per month for insurance on here 06 Civic. *!@!#! ICBC monopoly **#@. I've owned my truck 3 years and almost paid as much on insurance driving it 6 months each year as I payed to buy the truck itself, and when something happens ICBC will try to eff you in the rear any way they possibly can. If I got in a wreck and it was a write off they would probably value my truck at about what 1 year of insurance costs. Oh yeah, and that price is AFTER my 20% discount for never being in an accident. Add that to $1.50 per LITRE 87 octane gas at the cheaper stations. That's $5.67 per gallon.

ok rant off

Cheif it depends on the age, from memory if its older than 25 yrs its alowed to be licenced as is with little or no modification, older than 30 yrs alowes highly modifed things like hotrods an custom musclecars to be licensed aslong as they got engineering permits. but less than 20 yrs it needs to be converted to right hand drive.
but all this for western australia and it varys from state to state.

what is the ICBC
[/QUOTE]

ICBC= Insurance Corperation of British Columbia

vehicle registration, insurance, drivers licensing. All of that is done through ICBC. Since they are the province wide corperation that everyone has to go through you don't have the option of driving down the street to a cheaper insurance dealer. They are all about the same since ICBC has their standard insurance price.

I may move West.
In Queensland we pay about $100 per cylinder - so for my V8 it is a bit over $800 per year (a V12 is in the $1300 ball park). Insurance for me (I crash a lot and have been blacklisted by most) is about $80 per month.

I have 3 V8s on the road.

My chev is on vintage rego though at the moment which means it is restricted as to where I can use it but it is only $140 per year to register.
It will go on full rego soon.
