whats a choped 67,68 in primer worth???
I found one close to home. I dont recal if it is a 67 or 68. Top is chopped 5 or 6 inches, still in the ruff. The body is very soild and streight and in primer. Running sb350 and th350. New tires. There is no interior in the truck at all, well its got the steering coloum and wheel but no shifter. And no glass. Guy said he dove it home when he bought it a year or so ago. Apx. what would it cost to get windows cut for it. What is a truck like this worth??? Please let me know what yall think.

I don't think it'd be worth very much. I possibly can take it off your hands very easily I'm just right up the road from you. So, bring it to me. K. Good truck. Buy it and bring it to me.

Um, I'm located in Northern KY, close to Indiana, and Ohio. But my mom lives in Richmond, KY. That's not too far, but still a nice trip. So are you gonna buy it? If you don't want the cab, you can always give it to me. K?

Be very carefull buying 1 without glass! you want to look it over close to be sure the windsheild opening is square,& will accept glass! The rest of the glass is very easy to cut, & just about any shop can set you up. There are a few shops that will cut the windsheild, but talk in the &450-500 range to do it. I cut my glass, but had worked in glass for about 10yrs.....so i wont pull your leg & tell you that it was easy. It takes a feel for glass, & a lot of patience. crazyL

I looked at a finished 68 GMC that had been chopped about 2 1/2 inches. It had the body finished and painted and had a really nice sounding 400 sb. He wanted 6000. It needed upholstery work. short step.
It was painted black, and the chop was flawless. He went through--drumroll please-- 8 windshields to get one cut down that didn't crack. He recommended starting with new windshields, as all the old ones cracked. I wouldn't offer much of anything for a raw project such as you are looking at (<$500). You will spend a fortune getting it done. You would be dollars ahead by buying one that is closer to done and then finetuning it to suit you. OCB |
