Got my new 22 bonspeeds???

Some questions....

My rear is about 2 inches too high. ANyone have a static drop with 22's?

Front rims dont seem to line the hub up in the center = cap not fitting on the rim well. I did a little research last night and found the coys give this problem so I might have a remedy but any help would help.

As far as the rear anyone been cheap and just install some rear bags and air it up at home or at the gas station?

I have pictures but I dont know how to load them any help would be great. Joe

Re: Got my new 22 bonspeeds???

Yeah, I was looking at Bonspeeds too until I found out about the hub problem. If you want to do airbags on the rear and just fill em up at home or at the gas station like you said, it's real easy. Just put some Schrader Valves on the end of the line and you're good to go. Real cheap adjustable suspension! I actually just did the same thing yesterday to get my truck up a bit higher until I get my compressor and air tank hooked up.

Re: Got my new 22 bonspeeds???

That is the problem I got the blazer like this and cant really tell for sure what my rear drop is. The front control arms are "boxed" oldschool style so Id hate to give anyone the wrong info but if I were to guess from when I had the rallies and ece's website id say 3/5?Well cool I have kinda been feeling like maybe they are too big but they are growing on me

Success!!!!! I hope thats how you spell it haha . THanks everyone for the help a little grinder and no more dust covers but I figure the center caps are o-ring in with grease so they'll act like huge dust covers. Any how here is a pic

Re: Got my new 22 bonspeeds???

You mean you popped the caps off of the rotor? Isn't there any other way, as if you run through water or dust/dirt the bearings won't be long to the world, not to mention the grease getting all over? Was the issue that the cap hits the dust cover? Can you space the cap out like the guy's with coys? How about tapping the cap in to clear but not touching the spindle? Just a question, no offense, looks sweet!!

Re: Got my new 22 bonspeeds???

I think i miht get some flatter dust caps. But no water or extra dirt should even be able to get in there witht he center caps. They are pressed in with an o-ring. So they are waterproof to an extent definitely not as good as the original dust cap Im sure. well see about the grease though that might get nasty

Re: Got my new 22 bonspeeds???

Well, I was thinking around the wheel mounting flange, where the wheel sits against the face of the rotor as even though it is a nice flat machined area, it won't be water tight. I believe flatter dust caps, and or a couple of taps with a hammer would do it. Looks sweet man!

Your going to want to put those dust covers back on your wheel bearings. I had the same problem with mine interfering with the disc brake rally caps I used. I just dented the caps until they almost touched the castle nut. smashing the cover in the middle will not work you need to put a bunch of little dents in the cover all the way around. I would take a picture for you but I just dropped my blazer off at the upholsters again. No cover is going to make a huge mess.

Great tip on dust caps. I had trouble when I was running my rallys wheels.
