Need tire help for 20x12 wheels
I'm in the process of ordering new wheels for the '68 and would prefer to run 20x12's in the rear instead of 20x10's. The problem is that i'm having trouble finding tires for the 12"width. I'd like to keep the tire o.d. at 29.5" and not go any taller. I've seen 295/40R20 tires on 12" wheels but they looked really stretched out. They look real sweet on a 10" wheel. If i have to, i'll just go with the 10" but would much prefer the 12" Any input is surely appreciated.

315/35-20's will fit the width but are a little short of your optimum 29.5" goal (28.68"). You'll need to make a choice on what's more important, the height or width?

335/30/20 but that aint gonna fit stock tubs and they are high. Let me see these when you get them on there since I am in the same boat. I am going with the 335/30/20's on mine as bad as I hate to.

Re: Need tire help for 20x12 wheels
Something to keep in mind when calculating for fitment is "advertised" height vs "actual" height. What they say on the sidewall doesn't always mean it will measure out that way. I have seen many times that tires were shorter or taller than "advertised" height/width.
