3 inch drop coils
Does anyone ever use 3 inch drop coils in the front. I am going to lower my truck 3 in the front and 5 in the back and i was wondering what is the best way to do this.

Re: 3 inch drop coils
i haven't personally.
Allot of companies sell them tho so i would imagine its perfectly doable. with a good alignment afterwards. imo tho i would got with a 2" drop spindle and either cut an inch out of your stock fronts or purchase new -1" coils. Be sure to specify either way you got to mention if you have a big block or a I6/small block.

Re: 3 inch drop coils
i used 2.5 inch cpp drop spindles with a 1 inch drop spring. and 4 inch drop out back. i think its sits great. using 275 60 15 all the way around for tires.

Re: 3 inch drop coils
I went 3in springs with 2.5in drop spindles... probably the lowest you'd want to go without bags. Had to get aftermarket upper A arm (Brothers) to get alignment back in spec.
This is a 5.5 in front and about a 7in in back drop (with C notch). Gold color was before paint job, good side shot to get idea of drop. |

Re: 3 inch drop coils
I used the 2.5" drop spindles and 1" lowering springs with factory A arms and it adjusted to factory specs.

Re: 3 inch drop coils
Just remember that 3" drop springs might not yield a 3" drop compared to your 40 year old sagging springs. They are 3" shorter than NEW "stock height" springs.

Re: 3 inch drop coils
I have them currently.
Just make sure you get an alignment afterwards. DLB |
