Crossing K memers....
I have a 71' LWB C-10 2 wheel drive. And a 84' LWB C-30 2 wheel drive.
My question is.... Will the K-member outta the 84' fit the 71'? I am parting out the 84' and I wanna use the K-member to section for the 71' so I can just swap them and not have too much down time. Any info will be appreciated. |

yes it will fit, you might have to redrill a hole or two though, but cant remember about drilling the holes for sure.

Do a search there are a couple of posts about this. You could also just use the upper and lower a arms and spindles ect without the crossmember.

YES it will fit and the rest of the items on the K-member seem to line up quite well. You will have to drill or enlarge a couple holes, but that is about all. I have a K-member out of an 87 in my 68 frame and it works real well.

Re: Crossing K memers....
Yea I just want to use the core section of the k member. I am gonna keep my modified UCA's & LCA's and my drop spindles and all my factory steering. I just want to section it 1.75" so I can swap it out fairly quick and lay the body out. The K-member is the only thing that is holding me up.
