Where exactly am I supposed to put the lube on my new disc brake pads. Where the pads contacts the caliper pins?...I have read something about the "back side" of the pads?...thanks

Re: Caliper lube
On the ends of the pads where the pads rub the hardware and on the backing plates of both the inner and outter pads. Pretty much anywhere the pad touches something aside from the composite material.

Re: Caliper lube
The lube goes on the rubber O rings inside the holes where the pins goes through the caliper. It allows the caliper to slide on the pins freely.

Re: Caliper lube
Please do NOT put any lube on the pads ANYWHERE!!!
They make anti squeak compound for the back side of the pads (metal part) but the lube is for the o-ring/pins to allow the caliper to slide freely.

Re: Caliper lube
I apologize I meant lithium grease. I use it all day long at work. It is required to be used at all brake shops.
