I had the same issues but with the air ride i wanted with the wheels i have i had to go with a fleetside!!!!!

fleet all the way, yeah the steppers are a pretty sight but the really good looks belong to the fleetsides imo
nothin prettier then a 67-72 fleetside barellin down the road

I have always preferred fleetsides... but some of you have short steps that are just sooooooo nice

If it's a fleetside, then put a stepside bed on it. If it's a stepside, put a fleetside bed on it. But, save the bed you take off and weigh the finished look and you may find you don't like it as much as you thought you would.

I would like to have a stepside bed and swap them on occasions, just for funsies.

What I don't like about stepside beds are the stock taillights. Using earlier style lighting, like 68stepbed did, is a nice touch. We've seen other rear lighting that saw the light set into the rear fenders. I don't have a picture, but you know what I mean.

It's your choice and your truck. Do what you like....like what you do.
