Re: wrong title
Have you asked the person you bought it from if they have the correct title? They may have also had a 67 and handed over the wrong title.

Re: wrong title
you know anyone in a state that doesn't require a title... like just to your north.. go get a bill of sale from someone in GA (after being 1000% sure it ain't hot) and take that to your fl BMV and get a title

Re: wrong title
Do like LHM said or on the DMV website it should tell you what you need to know about getting a new title.

Re: wrong title
In Arkansas, we can get a bonded title. In essence, you buy a bond equal to the value of your investment and submit that in the VIN to the Department of Finance & Administration, who will research the data and issue a "Bonded Title".
I had the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin for a Yahama 4-wheeler that had never been through the titling procedure (don't have to license them). The previous owners (3) had all signed the title and I had a bill of sale, but the DFA wouldn't issue a title unless the selling dealer (out of business) would reissue the MCO. I sold it with a bill of sale and that was that. I'm guessing that your state has a "suspense" section that deals with these things every day. To think that an employee of that licensing agency didn't know who to direct you to.....just ain't right.

Re: wrong title
I`d roll with what you`ve got.The truck isn`t all original anyway. As long as you have a titke that matches the VIN-plate on the door pillar is all I`d care about.
