Could Someone Help Me?
My 1970 GMC shortbed has leaf springs only on the back, I bought new U-bolts today, and now I need to find the plate they attach to under the rear suspension. I don't know what it is called, could you guys help me out?

Did you lose yours?
Your best bet may be junkyards. Just check the width of the U-bolts. |

No I've still got mine but one side is rusted pretty badly. Does anyone know where I could get these?

Re: Could Someone Help Me?
Which part is it you're really needing? The U bolts attach to the lower mounting bracket. I don't think that part is going to be easy to make if it looks like mine...
If you're a paid member you can submit a WTB post and I'm sure there are some out there. I've heard of a lot of guys doing flip kits and/or converting theirs to trailing arms. They may still have those brackets laying around. Is this what you're talking about? Last edited by 68gmsee; 08-26-2008 at 10:38 PM. |
