Re: Cruisin' the Coast - 2008
I hope it doesn't come here either!
I've got the gas and done everything necessary for a storm that I can. Run the generators, wifes' bought extra supplies, etc. It's supposed to hit this weekend and I have hurricane duty at work! I work on oil rigs! This is gonna be a bad one guys.Be prepared, don't take chances!Be aware, don't get flooded in!Think of your family first.! If you plan to leave, leave early to beat the traffic. We're gonna leave Saturday after my wife's grandmother's memorial service. Should have an idea of which way to go by then.

Re: Cruisin' the Coast - 2008
Hopefully it won't be as bad as it appears that it could be. I haven't been to CTC since Ivan hit us a few years back. I actually have vacation scheduled this year and am planning to be there Fri-Sun.
Good luck to those of us that wind up in Gustav's path. |

I can't imagine how you folks in the hurricanes path feel. You all seemed prepared and I guess that is all you can do. Keep yourselves and your loved ones safe and God be with you !!!!

Re: Cruisin' the Coast - 2008
A good deal of it is paved. I don't travel it every day, but I know there is a few spots in Gulfport, and westward (Long Beach, Pass Christian, Hancock County) that is still under work. I think mostof the main cruising areas arefinished thoiugh.
Of course now that we got 2, almost 3 storms in the area, who the hecks knows what is going to be.

Re: Cruisin' the Coast - 2008
WE haven't worked out all the details on meet ups, but we do normally meet up t the swap meet at the Colosseum. There isn't any reserved parking there normally. As it gets closer and all us MS, TX, LA, FL, AL, & TN folks get our plans more finalized we'll be shouting at each other. I hope to be available the entire week, or darn near all of it.

Re: Cruisin' the Coast - 2008
Nothing yet. Sunday is the first day, and I'll be there.
I plan on hooking up with anyone I can that is here. I am off the entire week, but have "honey-dos" and stuff on and off during the week. 90 is still under construction, but I don't think that will slow any of us down much.
