Question A under hood paint question?

I am going to swap out a Rad support. Before I do I'm having it media blasted and I want to paint it. I'd like to paint is as close to the factory color as I can. What is everyone using?

Re: A under hood paint question?

I used plain old tremclad gloss black and then layed the grease to it, as with everything else under the hood or on the underbelly of my truck, as I live in Nova Scotia Canada, looked great before grease, like it did when it was new. Still looks good, just dirty haha, that's a good thing up here though if you want it to last.

Re: A under hood paint question?

what i like that is not factory but looks super cool is rustoleum metallic black spray paint.. I prime it like i would with any paint then i spray three coats of the spray paint and then three coats of the clear they have. i did this to a car when that paint first came out several years ago and when i wash it off it looks great like new

Re: A under hood paint question?

I use Krylon satin black. It replicates the factory sheen very well.
