should i find another frame?
i was planning on scrubbing off the frame and coating it with rust bullet. what would be good to scrub off frame with? wire brush on drill or angle grinder? but before i spend the money on that...
2nd question: is this frame worth keeping? it is a 3/4 shortened to swb look at the rear cab mounts. would i do better finding a frame from the salvage yards? |

From the looks of it. I would check around and see what's available.

Man someone really hacked that thing up... Yea i would look around, you could just get new cab mounts for it, and make new bed mounts...
Are you going to use the 67 ish bed or are you going with original style? |

Re: should i find another frame?
I'd find a good SWB.
From the looks of that work, i'd be scared of the shortening job.

Re: should i find another frame?
i'm wanting to go with a 60-66 swb fleetside bed, if i don't find one then the correct step side. i already ditched the 67 bed.

Re: should i find another frame?
those are thosre 3/4 ton cabmounts, looks like the vulcanized rubber let go, and they "fixed" them however they could.
I would definatley search for another frame first, most of your stuff should transfer over to the new one, and stay away from the 3/4 ton ones, so that you can get the better mounts. |

I have a 64 swb frame at my house right now. Its in perfect condition. Already has the power steering box and pump on it too. Let me know thats might be too long of a drive for ya though
