60 Suburban - Rear Brace - Is This Original ??? Help !
Hi guys. Can somebody tell me if the brace going across between the bumber brackets is it original ?? My dad had a hitch put on this in 1959 and it is hard to tell if it is part of the hitch installation or original brace. I am removing the hitch and need to know if I should leave the brace.

I would say no, that does not look like something gm would do.
If it is welded to the brackets , definatley not. |

I've never seen that on a Burb or Panel.
