8 lug dana 44 to 6 lug?

I have a 1977 3/4 ton dana 44 that I want to use in my 69 chevy, but I want it to be 6 lug to keep my wheels. Can anybody tell me what it takes to change it over?

Spindles outward, backing plates are different also. So strip it down to the knuckles and replace everything from there out---'cept the axle stub shaft, they are the same.

Thanks for the help, I thought it wasn't that hard. I wasn't sure if the spindle is different or not.
