Re: F/S Blazer bucket seat tracks !!

Can any one answer this question : Seats on my 71 blazer mount holes distance from front holes to rear holes doesnt match floor .The rear holes will end up where there is no "factory" spot welded backing plates:mm in the floor at the location of the rear mounts. Is this common to these trucks or did my truck come with bench seat ?

are you sure you have the correct year factory seats for it? As far as I know Blazers did not come with a bench seat there would be no way to get to the back seat.

Sounds like you either have utility buckets and your truck came with sport buckets or vice versa

Don`t all the K/5 seats bolt in the same?Aren`t the brackets the same on utilities as on sports?
72junky,I have the driver`s brackets.I just removed the seats and the driver`s seat is toast. So,I`d sell the bracket alone.

Re: F/S Blazer bucket seat tracks !!

I thought that the driver's tracks were the same as bench tracks. Can't you just take the far right bench track and move it to the right side of the driver's bucket? Never tried it, just assumed that was the case.

Nope, not the same, they mount differently to the seat frame.

The drivers side adj./slider tracks and pass. side pivoting mounting brackets are different between sport and utitlity buckets, the main difference is how they mount to the seat bottom.

Ok, while we are on/or off the subject, are sport blazer driver seat brackets the same as truck driver bucket seat brackets?

Yes, drivers side is the same as long as the blazer seats tracks are off sport buckets.
