To Convert a GMC Tailgate to a CST Tailgate?

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=267527

Ok...most of you have seen the 71 Take off bed that I bought for my 70cst.
The questions is: To convert the GMC gate to a CST gate is all I have to do is add the CHEVROLET trim across the center of the gate. I believe the trim piece would cover the GMC letters...but how about the lower and upper trim? I have a very good used 70cst gate that I bought that I could use but I think I would rather use the gate on the bed. And the answer is?????

CST would only have the woodgrain band and the upper trim, the lower was not included IIRC.
Also, the woodgrain would in fact cover the lettering.
Use whicever one you think it better, and sell the remains.

I am staying with the factory colors of "light" & "medium" olive. The cab is light olive and the body is medium olive.
