Transfer Case Opinions

I have a 1990 JImmy. It has a 350 TBI with 50,000 miles,a rebuilt 700r4 trans with about 200 miles ,and an np241c transfer case with 170,000 miles.Should I get the 241c rebuilt or try and find an np205?My truck is mostly a daily driver with occasional offroading.

Theres nothing wrong with it just alot of miles.I'm planning on putting 3/4 ton axles on this winter,i'm just trying to decide what to do with the transfer case.

Well, the lots of mules indicates wear. It's cheap enough to do yourself, while you have it out.

I am not a fan of hefting weight around multiple times.
