Question What tires????

The tires on the truck that I recently bought are Firestone Firehawks P275/60R15. I have come to discover that these tires have a lot of cracking in them, so replacement is soon to be necessary.

What kind of tires are most of you leaning towards?

I'd like to stay w/the P275/60R15's.

Re: What tires????

to me it pretty much depends on how i use a vehicle/ daily driver that i put 30-40K miles a year i'll normally go goodyears a slightly used project that sees 2-3kmiles a year or less i'll tend to get the cheapest that my local tire store has a deal on//show race and performance applications all require different selections to my taste

Re: What tires????

I put 4 slightly used 235/70R15's Goodyear Eagle RSA tires that I bought from a buddy who pulled them off a wrecked Crown Vic cop car. Theses tires are standard equipment on lots of cop cars. They are quiet and have excellent traction in wet weather. When I wear these out I'll be getting another set.

If you go to Tirerack .com they sell every kind of tire on the planet and have testimoials from people rating the various tires.

Re: What tires????

I just picked up 4 new Invader 275/60/15's at a local tire shop here in Terrell, Tx for $300 mounted balanced and installed. That was with our club discount though. Dunno who actually makes them, but they seem like good tires. They hold air, passed inspection, and smoke when I stomp on the gas pedal really hard. (My three main requirements from a tire.)
