Has anyone swapped from the ole' crank em up to power windows here?

I want to and put the switch(s) where my current crank holes are and I'll make the holes for the lock switches but to those that have done it what was the vehicle you used to donate the parts from?

I work at O'Reillys and don't see the need to buy the kits they sell in other places when I can get the motors regulators and switches for pretty cheap and just make it myself and spend half as much.

Any other suggestions are welcome, and thanks in advance.

can you post what parts you use to do you power window? i have the crap kit from LMC truck. it works good until the plastic gears strip or the motors seize. i would like to install a more conventional type power window system.

i placed my switches in the arm rests and i did see the need for a lock switches since the remote on the key chain actived them.

I pulled power door lock actuators and hardware out of an 80 cutlass and they work great, I have the power window motora nd regulator assy`s. out of this doner car too but I havent seriosly thought about how to use them in my 67 chevy.

I was thinking something out of a mid to late 70's GM car or a 1/2 ton truck if possibly. Just pop rivet the motor/actuator in place and with my dad being a machinist he can make whataver else is needed to hold stuff in place. The power locks will be easy, the windows not so much.
