4l60 - 4l80 conversions, driveshaft length?
I'm pulling parts together for an LQ4/4L80e swap in my newly acquired 69' short/fleet. I'm coming from a 396/TH400 setup.
I'm trying to cut down on down time for the truck as it's slowly becoming my daily driver. For those who've made the swap, what were the specs on your new driveshaft? What vendor did you use? Thanks |

from past experiences i've learned to install engine and tranny and measure it myself because taking someone elses measurements usually leads to having 2driveshafts built

I have to agree. Unless you are folowing someone else's build toa 'T', then there would be too many variables.

Another question along the same lines. Is the driveshaft he currently has going to be anywhere close to the right length? I would think that as long as the trans mounts in the same location it should be close.

Will be about 1.5" to 2" too long. I also side with getting installed and measuring.
