Well I got the old skin off no problem. I then cleaned up the inside and rust treated it with some stuff that turns rust to primer. then I got some 3m rubberized undercoating and sprayed both halves... I think it's starting to come together...

How hard was it to remove the door skin? And how easy is it to put the new one on, And how is the fit, Also how is it going to be attached?

I just ground around the edge of the door, it was pretty simple. I will have to get back to you on the second question... the new skin fits very well, just mocking it up. I am quite pleased. I got them from Tim Christian, the quality of them is much better than some of the stuff I have seen from a local supplier. I will drill some small holes in the lip that folds over and then i'll tack weld it securely on.

Did you grind on the inside of the lip or the outer edge that you can see when the door is open?

right along the outside. to seperate the part that folds over.

Did you remove the small piece of the old lip or will the new skins cover it?

I'm curious how you fold the new skin on to the inner door, with out making it look rough, they must of had a big press in the factory to do this.

yeah I popped the old lip off. it is spot welded in a few places but comes up easily. They make tools to fold the lip back over. It can be done with a hammer and dolly also.

Eastwood has a tool to fold the lip,somewhere around $85? I used a hammer and dolly.Take your time.
