i want to purchase a new 71-72 aftermarket outer grille shell and i noticed there is a $100 difference between the aluminum and the chrome (chrome being more). is one better than the other? or does it matter?? any experience from anyone between the two???

I just got the aluminum one and will polish it when i'm ready to install it. It will look like chrome when I'm done. I guess i'm a cheap bass tard

depending on the year.. the 71/72 ones are as follows

aluminum = oem style (factory was alum)
chrome = steel that has been chromed and also includes light bezels
