New Hood Hinges From GM

I got my pair of new GM hood hinges today 6 bucks cheeper than aftermarket. $200 with tax for the pair Canadian Springs Extra.

Thought I would let you guys know you can still get them I think they are old stock though. Later Mario

I went through a local dealer and got mine a couple years ago...paid less than $100 US for mine, with springs. Kinda pulls a big vacuum to have to pay what you paid, plus you have to deal with the snow. Maybe they charge you guys extra in case it snows!

Check out www.gmpartsdirect.com. This has been posted before, but to all who have not seen it, it is a good site. Just watch out on the shipping cost. If nothing else it will give you a list with part numbers on what is available.

72mario, did they fix your hood from sticking up in the back all the time? Just wondering if they would fix that on mine. thanks

Totally fixer the hood sitting up in the back prob. I just installed them Totally Perfect Everything Lines up Amazing !~ they were worth 300 to me. You dont have to lift very hard either now the hood springs up by it's self !

My Dad bought a new set at the dealer a few years ago, got them chromed put them on and after a little while the rivet started to loosen up just like with the old pair, can't win.

I pressed my rivets in tighter with my home made press. I hope they don't come loose that would suck!

Yah I think we bashed them in with a ball pein to fix them, but that was after they were already chromed.

got mine at chevy duty,nos hinges w/o the springs,though. paid roughly 55 bucks ea. for 'em.still has the gm part # sticker zip tied to 'em.
