Thumbs up Check out this pulley kit

I posted a thread asking to see pics of March pulley kits the other day and got to see some of your sweet setups and while looking on ebay came across these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem=

This seller also has the kit in a 1" wide belt. It appears to be a real high quality made kit for the money The cog type belt looks pretty cool too The power steering pulley uses the standard type V belt so that should be fine. This might be the one I get

Looks like the kit with the 1" wide cog belt is about $60 cheaper than this!

Re: Check out this pulley kit

I'm betting it take allot of force to get the belt tight, and will cause premature alternator bearing failure too.
If your v-belt breaks you can get one anywhere…..
Sorry to sound negative, just my thoughts on it.
Definitely has that wow affect.

Re: Check out this pulley kit

I saw that kit a few years back and was ready to smash the buy it now button on the "Bling" factor alone... Then I thought about it and agree if the belt snaps your pretty much screwed.. Truck is down till you order a new belt... If you go for it I would order a few extra belts... I dont think having to make it to tight is an issue since it is a cog style belt..

Re: Check out this pulley kit

I emailed the seller/manufacturer and was told I could buy belts from him or any industrial belt place. I'd probably buy an extra belt to have on hand.

Re: Check out this pulley kit

I bought the short water pump kit from vic hubbard made by the same manufacturer. I had trouble getting the right alt bracket but if you have a long water pump you should be ok. You do need to tighten the belt quite a bit and it does put extra pressure on the alt since the pulley brings it out further and adds more leverage. The other point brought up already is finding a replacement belt. I dont know how much they are on ebay but at hubbard the belt runs about $100. Quite a bit to buy an extra. I'm glad to hear that the company is returning emails now cause when I bought mine I couldn't get any responses. This is the only pic I have that shows my belt.

Re: Check out this pulley kit

thats some very cool stuff !!! dont really think the belt would wear out any faster than any other belf if even that fast. 100$ every couple years is nothing.
