Re: misc parts(missouri)

That's a good deal for that tank. I've got one already, but one of the 67-72 guys should snatch that up pretty quick. Good luck.

Re: misc parts(missouri)

John, The seat is the same, but I am 99% sure the brackets on the seat belt retractors are different between pickups and burbs due to floor differences. I have a set of each and can take a picture if it helps.

Re: misc parts(missouri)

Ok, I was thinking the 80's seats had a hole or cutout for the belts. Pics might be handy jeff, thanks. have you looked at any of the aftermarket replacement belts ? what are you using ?

Re: misc parts(missouri)

John, check this thread out

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=313138

Yes, the 80's seats had holes cut out...but that really is no different than just tucking them between the cushions...both seats should work the same in regards to belts.

I have never used aftermarket belts. For my truck, I was going to have my stock belts restored professionally. Cheap, I assume not, but trying to find clean lap belts only is next to impossible.

Re: misc parts(missouri)

walts restoration: i not heading to ks any time soon. wellsville is around 2 1/2hours east of kc.

gearhead:the 22nd is fine.i will have my wife take pics of the doors/fenders of the burb tomorrow. i will be gone till fri eve.the fenders have some rust around the inside lip. inner fenders are shot. doors are pw/pl. drivers side has stress cracks around the mirror area.i'm bascally using the burb for parts storage.the front clip is loose, it would be easy to remove. there is a fence on the passingger side, and would be impossible to get pics of the pass. side

stepside454:i will have my wife get pics of the seat belts tomorrow. i assume your looking for the front. the burb has bucket seats like a blazer with a center console.

Re: misc parts(missouri)

i got the 700r4 from a salvage yard a few years back. i took it out of a chevy van, i think it was a 86 or 87. i put it in a s-10 i had at the time, soon after that i came acroos a 5 speed, and swapped that in. when i pulled the 700r4the fluid looked good, not burnt(not sure if its ever been rebuilt)i got the torque converter that was with it, so it is included with the sell. it worked good, shifts good. it hasnt been used in a few years.

Re: misc parts(missouri)

joe231:your first in line for the 700r4. i'm guessing with the torque convertor it weights between 120 and 160lbs. my zip is 63384, i would prefer not to ship. the code i found is wbm 18611, hope this helps. yes it has the tv cable(no engine bracket) also it has the dipstick.

Re: misc parts(missouri)

is that number from one of these places

Quote:
On the THM700-R4 the VIN is either stamped onto a boss behind the bellhousing flange on the passenger side, just above the pan on the drivers side, or just behind the governor cover, stamped vertically where the case meets the tailshaft housing.
oh and can you snap a picture or 2?

Re: misc parts(missouri)

joe231: its too dark to get any pics right now. i went and looked again. its
1 wbm 18611 stamped above the pass. side pan(like in the picture you attached) on the other side there is 8676358 cast in the drivers side. there is a flat spot cast into the bellhousing drivers side that has a sticker, but is not legible.
