Ok, I have a 4-Bolt main 350 in my shop that I plan on boring out and making it a 383 stroker, but I want to go with a serpentine belt and i'm having trouble find a pulley kit so I can keep my A/C compressor and keep A/C in my truck.

Right now i have my compressor and most of the lines off because I have no use for them right now.

Has anyone gone to a serpentine belt on a late 70's block?

This is probably the most thorough thread on serpentine conversions.

In a nut shell, it is a direct bolt up and you can either chose to drill a hole in the passenger’s side head on an older block or not worry about it. I chose to drill a hole in the cylinder head when I converted my old 350 back in 1996 before these swaps became so common. Around 2001 GM Performance Parts came out with a kit to convert serpentine belts to older engines and claim the extra hole is not needed.

Don't forget to use a reverse rotation water pump!

88-92 v8 camaros and firedirds use a pretty slick setup. the complete setup can be had for about 100 and shipping from TGO.you will also need a rev rotation water pump.

As said above, I used a 91 350 setup. The only thing I had to change was getting a A/C delete pulley and a water pump for a 91. All the pulleys and brackets bolted right up. I did have to get a 91 water neck and I drilled the head hole as well.

It doesn't appear anyone has answered your question yet, AFAIK the answer is no. I have not seen a serpentine bracket that will mount the old style A/C compressor. I am using a R4 compressor and R12 refrigerant.

Nobody did answer that question.

The answer is no, there are no GM serpentine brackets that will accommodate the old Harrison A6 style A/C compressor.

gm has a kit that has the a/c compressor and powersteering pump included this will give you a newer compressor and p/s pump that will use less power and be better in the long haul IMHO. I put the kit on my 350 and love it your a/c line will work, but u will have to make a new p/s line

Well, I'm really debating on whether or not to keep the A/C in it at all. I'm thinking of ridding myself of it all and just keep my heat. I don't have much use for A/C because I just roll down my windows if it's hot. I had a freezingly cold a/c in my 98 and I never used it.
