67 C-30,
That is a nice wrecker! I love the pics of you pulling trees out of hte yard!!
I helped my dad pull up old apple trees with a tractor as a kid and now days I use my small JD 650 or a neighbors New Holland tractor to pull them up with.

You know you have hold of something when the front end of the truck comes up off the ground! Thanks for sharing....

Thanks. I miss the old wrecker, but I wasn't using it enough to justify the tag and insurance anymore. With the high GVWR, the upkeep was too high for it to not be making money. We're tagging and insuring 8 vehicles right, 5 of which are a 67-72 trucks, and I had to thin the herd a little! I can haul any car or truck I want with my ramp truck, and I'll be using my '67 C-30 to pull others on my car trailer as soon as I get everything sorted out with the diesel.

That red wrecker with the SITAN on the door looks like those special order C 40's with the 5 lug front and 10 lug rear.

Re: Calling all towtrucks and wreckers

There's a Big-Un (C-40 - C-60 ???) here that's been for sale here for a long time. Saw it just the other day.

I'll see if I can find it again, & snap a couple pix.

Re: Calling all towtrucks and wreckers

That wrecked one is near me .It's Oak Lawn Illinois Tri State Towing.
Also,,,The old wrecker that was the chevy dealer's in hot springs ark.,,,I just bought a truck up here that had a step bumper with that dealer's name stamped into the bumper. Maybe that old wrecker hauled my 72 truck at one time or another.-KB

This one is a little newer and a roll back I drove it up till June this year when my boss traded it for a new 2008 5500 GMC.
