WTB power drum/drum proportioning valve

I am hoping to use the master and booster off my 72 donor, but it was setup for disc front. Anybody got a proportioning valve for power drum/drum?

I have a power drum/drum setup I believe and I am looking for a power disc/drum. If you still have the disc/drum prop valve would you like to trade?

I do have the disc/drum prop valve, but not sure on trade (wanted it for when I go to disc). Also, do you know if that's different that regualr drum/drum prop valve?

67mater, The Master Cylinders are definetly different. The drum/drum M/C has 2 small fluid reseviors where the disk/drum M/C has a larger front/smaller back reseviour. The drum/drum setup has a fluid distrobution block (as in Bpokey's picture) whereas the disk/drum is a prop valve. I am swapping to a disk/drum setup so my drum/drum setup is for sale.

so what your saying is that the enitre getup needs to change to Drum/drum? Well, mayeb If that's the case, I'll hang onto my setup and put the manual drum/drum setup from the 67 on.

Thanks for the info myoldchevytruck. I guess the PO of my truck did a disc brake conversion and didn't bother to change anything but the rotor/calipers. Do you know the best route to finish the job? I have seen some trucks with the later model booster/master cylinder, is this better? 67mater, I hope all works out with your brake issue. Thanks.

Boosters only mater from 1/2ton to 3/4 ton etc...

correct in the MC and distro block for drums, I have one available as well if anyone needs it.

B-pokey, you need to find a disc/drum MC and prop valve to complete yours... How's it working right now? MC's are cheap at autozone but prop valves are a little higher.... i suggest just buying them new from there if you are looking to complete yours... Or if you feel that it works fine now then stick with it...

So, can the MC and distblock original to my 67 3/4 ton drum/drum manual brake setup work with the booster from the 72 3/4 ton power disc/drum setup?

Aside from having power, I believe i need the booster to mount to the firewall as there are 4 bolts, not two for just the MC.

Thanks msgross. I am not sure how it drives yet. I have only driven it from the trailer to the garage and even then it had a stuck caliper. I had planned on the new MC and I guess I will just have to find a prop valve. I didn't know if the lines were different from disc to drum. Good to see all the veterans on here. I am at 12 years in the Navy on my way to 20. Thanks again.

might work? the booster also has brackets... power drums is better manual drums so go for it...

Be careful, I think you need to buy a new MC and prop valve to be safe. Hart_Rob just moved from Pensacola to NM but he still has trucks there. Good guy and a naval officer too...
