Ignition switch removal
How do you remove this switch on a 67 C-10? Are the switches the same from 67-72?

iv seen this question before so if you do a search you should come up with something. I think that you have to stick a pin in the small hole and turn it though.

If you don't have the key
I am not sure what to do. I have cut with a die grinder on the back side, drilled holes in the front, and still don't have it out.
If you find out anything please let me know.

If you dont have the key the easy way is a set of vice grips. lock onto the front bezel. un plug you ing switch and start turning. you will evientualy get it off i was pissed off whit mine because i couls not get it out and that was sugested to me. Just rember things on these trucks can be replaced. not worth losing your mind over. I got a vew ing switch and tumbler for under 20 bucks and a new crome bezil on e-bay for 3 bucks so happy turrning

The way to remove the tumbler is to stick the key in the ignition and turn it to the accessory possition. Take a paper clip or stiff wire and stick it in the small hole in the ignition face just above and to the left of the key. You will feel a spring inside it and you need to depress it. Then continue turning the ignition while depressing the spring to the left. After it turns then you should be able to pull the tumbler out with the key. Then unscrew the bezel from the ignition switch, unplug the wires from in back and remove the ignition. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
