Free 68 lwb

I have the opportunity to get a free 68 lwb. I need the front clip but need to get rid of the rest of the truck. If you're interested you have to take the whole truck, no parts! The cab floor is shot, drivers door is OK and bedside and floor is OK. This may be a good donor frame to shorten? Here are a few pics.

Looks like its 68 clip on newer chassis? 5 lug, is it disk brake?

I think I'm wrong about newer chassis. 68 probably 5 lug.

Re: Free 68 lwb

That looks like 5 lug front end. Has to be discs. Where is the truck ? I may be interested. I live near Austin, but my dad lives near Port Lavaca and was looking for a bed for one of his projects. Is the cab rusted above the windshield?

Re: Free 68 lwb

67arch - 68 would have been 6 lug, no 5 lug 2wd until 71.

Looking at the mirrors, I'd say it's a 68 with 71-72 front and rear parts.

Either, there is some $$$ to be made there from parting it out.

Re: Free 68 lwb

Reminds me of a saying my journeyman had when I was an apprentice electrician...If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas.

Gregful, am I first in line?

Angry Re: Free 68 lwb

Wideside was first in line, I was working through a middle man and the actual owner has decided to keep the truck. I'll update if anything changes. Sorry to get all your hopes up.
