Perfection

I'm somewhat of a dually conniseuer. Don't get me wrong, I love all things 73-87, but the dually is my true passion.

So you can imagine my excitement when I heard Jason Hill was doing an '81 a few months back. The early pics looked promising:

Today, one of my Bro's on DuallyScene posted these:

I ain't gonna lie...I had to close my office door for a little "alone time" after seeing these. I love it. The stance is *SPOT* on! I even dig the side pipes!

Jason Hill, if you by chance ever see this, BRAVO, Buddy, bravo!

I *heart* you.

Re: Perfection

Is that the same truck? I always liked that Dually on Hill's website. I'd roll it with the old paint!
Wonder why there are still mirror holes in the doors? Looks like maybe a 22/24 combo on the Semi wheels. Thanks for posting!

Re: Perfection

Square body crew cab duallies are some of my favorite trucks. ( I've had 2 of them) They are sweet. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's up with the doors either.

IIRC, Trevor (Tennessee Wheel and Tire) told us on DuallyScene that he sold Hill a 22/24 combo. That's how we found out he was doing a dually.

I'd like to get some more detail shots, maybe even some interior pics. I was thinking about emailing Jason to see if he'd humor me. It's worth a try.

I always liked this rig, too:

I just noticed something...check out the mirrors between the two. They both look like the Burb mirrors, but the ones on the dually have been moved forward. Maybe something to do with the one-piece windows?

Re: Perfection

looks pretty good to me (not a fan of the big wheel thing). I really liked the before two tone color combo. But it is cool with the lake pipes and the blacked out cab clearance lights. I am also wondeing why they left the old mirror mounting points? Maybe some way to connect towing mirrors and remove them?

Re: Perfection

Side pipes are for the Duramax conversion.

Mirror holes are still there because he moved the mirrors forward after the one piece window kit was installed.

Apparently, the paint is 8 years old. He's looking to repaint it in the spring.
