OK, another asking for advice. What I think you should do is give ME the Burb and go buy the other for cash. Well...you asked!

Re: Should I trade it?
As Longhorn man says ,,You are getting a biased opinon from all of us ,,,but if you had a 57 chevy and was trading it for a 63 chevy all would tell you to keep the 57 .
I have read more than one article that our 67-72 trucks are next 57 chevy for popularity and I think the Burbs are in the mix as well. imo papa

Re: Should I trade it?
Trucks like his are a dime a dozen at this point...and pretty cheap. It's a lot harder to find a 'burban with a decent body and powerpland. My $.02.

Re: Should I trade it?
I would like the crew more if it still had the '74 clip on it, but it would still be a "no go" for me... keep the burb

Re: Should I trade it?
I think because you are asking us, you just need a bit of backup in not making the trade.
I vote with keep the burb. That square body is going to give a lot of us a bit of room for thought on building another truck though. Decent square body crew cabs are pretty reasonable around here and the short bed swap makes a good looking truck. No, No No, I don't need another truck project. Unless you are just flat burned out on the burb keep it and make a winner out of it. |

Re: Should I trade it?
Do you NEED a truck with a bed to haul stuff? That is the only thing the white truck has that your burb does not. Even then I would be hard pressed to swap a 67-72 burb for a 73+ crew.

Re: Should I trade it?
I say keep the Burb without a doubt. I know a few gabachas that would ride in the burb if that helps you keep it

The first pic is of my truck when I got it, the second is two years later. I think it was well worth the time and effort and so will your burb. But honestly, noone here is really trying to tell you what to do, but as it has been said, we are all biased. We love the lines of the 67-72's but I am sure each member loves other vehicles for one reason or another in thier own way. Good luck with whatever choice you make, and keep us posted when you do decide! Don

Re: Should I trade it?
Keep the burb. Neither have good paint (or good patina), so the work you put into the body would be worth more on the sub.

Re: Should I trade it?
In reality, it is what you want that counts. People trade up swaps everyday. After all you are the one doing the vehicle trade not us. Plus you just asked about a few hundred or so die hard 67-72 truck enthusiasts about a square body truck. That is kinda of like asking a vegetarian to help you choose between Tofu or a Big Mac.
How about driving the crew cab for a day to see if it's something you really want. I actually love both squares and burbs. No matter which one you choose they are both awesome and not everyone on your block has one. Sledge Last edited by thump16; 11-26-2008 at 04:05 PM. |

Re: Should I trade it?
I love crew cab pickups. They are great to haul a large load and still have room to take the family. With that said.~Keep the Burb!!
